Functional with a Minor Flaw – Verilux® USB C Hub
I recently purchased the Verilux® USB C Hub, a 6 in 1 Aluminum Multiport Adapter, and have found it to be a useful addition to my tech gear. Disappointing performance. Customer support asking for fake review for a replacement.
Review after a few days of usage. Received a defective product (USB 3.0 port and SD card slots weren’t working) replaced it with another one. Please keep in mind this product can only be REPLACED and not REFUNDABLE.Bought this hub for a MacBook and totally disappointed with the performance.1. The read/write speeds of all ports (USB A3.0, USB C, SD card slot) are limited to sub USB 2.0 speeds. I was getting only below 30MB/s2. The USB 3.0 port won’t even recognize my external hard drive but the 2.0 port does connect it with slower speeds.3. HDMI working fine so far.The customer support will offer a replacement for 20% product cost without returning the item but you’ll have to add a good review here as an ‘initial step’. I can now see where all the good reviews are from.

I have a Samsung free style projector that I want to connect to my iPad. Although I can connect using wifi, given the vagaries of wifi I prefer a cable connection. There is no cable to connect mini HDMI to C-type port of my iPad. I have a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable that I use with the verilux cable. It works well.
