    Nice book
The story has the elements of suspense and thriller. It is the book one of the series thus a little world building for the series in there in this book, which is anyway necessary for a series. The story begins with the one of the girl leaving the another one as potraited on the cover. The plot is focused on these two only. The girls are namely, Amrita and Khushbu. While Inspector Rajiv us working on this case. We get to see much more of the characters in the book. There are several characters yet each character development has been presented well. Again each character has been given sufficient scope to contribute to the plot. The narration is kept simple and easy making it a good read for all. The language used is lucid.

    Quite interesting!
The title made me to pick this wonderful book. The two best friends’ characters are well-developed. The author narrates this story of friendship and love interestingly with crime. This is a psychological thriller with twists. The story goes smoothly until one of the girls commits suicide. Is this a true suicide or a murder? It is an interesting investigation to find out the truth behind it. The author made the story so perfectly unpredictable throughout the book. The language is simple and the narration is good enough to hold the suspense until the end. The plot is fast paced and the storyline is quite intriguing. Grab your copy to enjoy this engaging suspense thriller.

    An remarkable thriller
‘Two Indian Girls’, book one of Kanke Killings Trilogy. Set in Kanke, Ranchi Bihar this novel revolves around mysterious suicide of Khushbu who is married to Ajit not less than a month. Now Ajit, his family and his in-laws are under investigation. None of them could believe that Khushbu would take such a drastic step. Now, Inspector Rajiv is all set to find the truth and he views the case from a different angle. His focuses much on Amrita, Khushbu’s best friend and founds the case to be fishy as he goes more in depth. Did Khushbu really commit suicide or she was forced into ?This definitely an outstanding thriller. From the start till the end, the book kept me hooked. The style of portraying the entire novel was indeed nice, and the suspense created also gives a spine-chilling feeling to the readers. If you are look forward to reading something fast-paced and thriller then I highly recommend this book.

    ALL PAID REVIEWS
The story in the book literally makes no sense at all, it just felt like the author wanted to introduce all the readers to his land Bihar and its culture, most part in the book felt like some Bihari research paper, The plot, the writing and everything in it is purely pathetic. Would definitely NOT recommend buying.

This is such a thrilling book to read, so many turning points in the story that will surely, entertainment for readers. The plot line of the story simple, it’s suicide case, they are going to finds out, is that really suicide or it’s murder and all.It may be simple but it’s beautiful and exciting to read the story how it will turn and end with interesting, this story revolves around friendship, love and family. So it’s good read for sure. This story is all about khusbu case, who is died because of suicide and she married to ajit, after one month of her marriage she became dead don’t know whether it’s a suicide or murder, police going to finds out about her friend who is Amrita, she may be a bestie but there is so much more than that, how the case going to solve and what she trying to distract the case and what’s the reason behind that.It was interesting to read those scenes and all.

    Confusion and revelation
A grappling thriller it is. The story revolves around two friends namely Khusbu and Amrita. They are extremely close to each other but one day an abrupt, unforeseen devastation hits this friendship with the speed of lightening bolt. Khushbu is found dead. Rajiv is on this case to solve the mystery behind her death. It’s unclear whether she is murdered or has committed suicide. The character specification is nicely done. The book is written in a coherent and easy way. The book has an eerie atmosphere to it. The plot gives the readers butterflies of anticipation. The book is somewhere between slow to medium in pace.In a nutshell, it’s a good one for all the thriller lovers.

    Amazing book
Two Indian girls is a part of the kanke killings trilogy. Kanke is a colony in Ranchi, Bihar. The story revolves around a mysterious suicide of khushbu, who got married to Ajit less than a month ago. So simply the prime suspects of this case are the husband and his family. But inspector Rajiv kumar has some other perspectives regarding this case and doesn’t let go of it easily without any further investigation. He is involved with khusbu’s best friend, Amrita who restlessly asks him to perceive the case from a different angle.Suicide or Murder?Did Khusbu commit suicide of her own accord or someone forced her to do so? Read to know.I was intensely hooked up with this book until I was able to end it. Although this book talks about the changing political scenario of bihar in 2014. The character of Police Inspector Rajiv, was the one I liked the most because he has done his duty without any pressure and finally gets justice for both the girls. The suspense was maintained till the end which made it more engaging. Grab this book and have a good surge of thrill.

  9. Christmas Angel

An interesting story which describes the rich culture of the arranged marriage and the western ideas of many Indian women who refuse to abide by this venerable tradition. Also of importance is the way police speak to Persons of Interest. The flowery, apologetic, and gentle manners used. A culture shock indeed. All this wrapped around the questionable suicide of a happy, young bride. Suicide or Murder?

Couldn’t put the book down once I picked it up. Love the manner in which the suspense builds on as each chapter perfectly leads into the next. The hardcover copy also had a great feel to it. Would definitely recommend as a bedtime read.

A debut novel from a new-to-me author. The idea/plot is intriguing. The incorporation of Indian words, titles (e.g. aunts etc) with the English translation/explanation great, descriptions of the clothes and surroundings – brilliant and gives the story authenticity. The foods described gives it the flavour that it needs (pun intended!).The book cover, I really like – different and yet familiar, and smacks of authenticity and exotic-ness. The way the characters were described in short sentences especially Amrita and Khushbu – “She was not ethereal. She was not beautiful. She was not pretty. She was not alluring……” I liked that – it gave it a staccato feeling and drove it home for me.So why 3 stars only? I found the writing style in the main rather stilted and I did not enjoy the fact that it was a bit heavy on the politics. Although I really wanted to like the novel and be intrigued by it, it did not really grab my attention. As I did not finish the book, I may be doing the novel an injustice – who knows perhaps at the last page, I might have been wow-ed and totally sold but then again perhaps not. However, I think it is a brave new venture for this promising young author. Who knows, he may surprise me with the pulitzer next time round.

The story of the two Indian girls was somewhat entertaining but there were several chapters that discussed politics in India and others that discussed Indian history. Both of these could have been deleted (or written as a book separately) as they had nothing to do with the story of the girls. The tone of the story is very simplistic, which may be due to the translation so I felt like I was reading a YA novel. It was helpful to have the list of characters at the beginning. A list of chapters was also included but it was not hyper-linked; each time I closed my Kindle and reopened the book, I had to manually flip through the pages to find where I left off. There are many grammar and spelling errors but this is a review copy so, hopefully, they will be fixed.

Book: Two Indian Girls: A Murder Mystery Novel. I chanced upon a novel, Two Indian Girls, as it is an Indian novel, and it had a great cover. This is the debut novel of Author Kinshuk, and I was happy to have read it. It is a police procedural novel, and it does justice to the genre. I loved the way the author has narrated the story and has built up the characters. Some strong woman characters, there! The story was nice and easy, and the writing was flowy and lucid. Recommended for mystery fans who like a bit of culture, polity and socio-religious aspects thrown into their plot. It is not a run of the mill mystery story with a single-minded focus. This novel touches a lot of subjects in a unique way and describes the India of today rather well.
