A must for blues guitar
This is my second book, i bought the guide to rhythm last year and this one recently. Must say one thing first, these are extremely well structured books and make it easy for even a novice for me to understand. The videos and audio tracks are also very nice. Soon intend to get the third book in this series

For the blues beginners lacking knowledge of the music.
this is not for the beginner per se. but the beginners can strive, work hard on the music and the theory behind the teachings, that are fundamental and said in a unique, if not that friendly, a way. some of the major fundas in playing blues are explained with audio recordings. it could take some months to get the timing write even for the first chapter exercises for the beginner. it can be tedious but don’t give up. the book can help you sound blues in a month and you can here yourself playing blues if you work hard in some months!

Very thorough and detailed, yet a bit unfriendly
This book covers many aspects of soloing. It majorly covers the nature and rhythm of your notes. You will see a lot of notation in standard and tab form. It primarily focuses on teaching you the timing of various notes and how that contributes to rhythm; 1/4th notes, 1/8th notes, 1/16th notes etc. That knowledge is essential for a professional musical academic, however, it may not be wholly suited for someone who plays music for recreation and doesn’t want to get involved in the academic aspect of music. I would still like to read part 3 of this series in order to see if it matches my expectation. Being a blues enthusiast but not a professional. I would like to attain information that pertains to what notes would fit together and how, rather than the different ways to play a note in terms of time signature.
