He’s commitment phobic. She believes in happy endings. The twist of fate that binds them is a surprise they never saw coming in a bittersweet romance about instant family—and not-so-instant love.

A decade-old animosity is the only thing Liam Davies and Zoe Valentine have in common. Until their mutual best friends pass away and they’re appointed co-guardians of the trusting couple’s precocious toddler, Mira.

Liam is committed only to professional football. Relationship-wise, he’s even better at defense. Still wrestling with a tough childhood, he’s not cut out to be a father. Why his late best buddy believed in him, Liam has no idea.

An optimistic romantic, Zoe has always dreamed of a fairy-tale life. But even though Liam’s biceps make her dizzy and she can’t stop thinking about his lips on hers, he’s not exactly Prince Charming. With or without that brooding Brit, she is determined to make good on her friends’ last wish.

Forced into a predicament they never expected, Zoe and Liam are discovering things about each other that could scorch through boundaries, warm hearts, and change minds. And best of all, with their shared love for a pint-size surprise like Mira, they might just turn a house into a home.

    So good!
This book gave me all the feels! I loved all the scenes with Liam & Zoe taking care of Mira. Liam was a grump and I kind of resented him in the begging but he made good progress. I could understand him better as the chapters flew by and to see him being soft with Mira since the very beginning was so enjoyable! Zoe was so sweet and kind and she deserved her fairytale ending. I was happy that she found her family in both Liam and Mira. The chemistry between them was good and the slow burn was delicious but I just wish that we got to see more of them as a couple. Overall the plot was solid and the book made me feel sad at times but the happy and adorable moments made up for it! So it was definitely worth the time.

The little girl has him wrapped around her finger 😍.✔ Their chemistry and banter is hot notch.✔ I am in love with Nash. He was sooooo swoony. (though i hurt of him too)✔ This was a really cute, heart wrenching and slow burny read.🤔What could have been better -✔ It did become a bit slow in between.📚Who Should read :👶Beginners💝Romance Lover☀ Grumpy-Sunshine Romance 🏈 Sports Romance📈My Rating : 4/5Thank you, Karla Sorenson and Author Agency, for a copy.

I read this book so fast. I fell in love with the main characters. I felt all the emotions described in the book. The pain of losing a loved one, the unconditional love, and what the world family means. I recommend this book.

This was even better than the first in the series and Karla Sorensen has become a new favorite! The characters are multifaceted, well-developed, and real. They are flawed and so beautiful. I don’t want to give anything away, but this was one of the most satisfying romances I’ve read in ages. It’s so refreshing to witness the growth of an emotional connection rather than the focus being solely physical or love at first sight. This is a beautiful story of overcoming trauma, personal growth, patience, and allowing love to beautifully flourish from the ashes of pain. Just beautiful.

Liam is a British american footballer who is also extremely well off. He lives for his sport and his team mates are his friends . When he best friend dies along with his wife he finds out that he and his wife’s best friend are now guardians to their daughter. He wants nothing to do with looking after the child and so Zoe is left to deal with learning how to be a mum. He turns up to the house to see about helping with money and Zoe looks exhausted. He doesnt think he would be good enough for the little girl after the way his father was but bit by bit his walls come down. Nicely written. Didnt need the bit about Zoe’s ex the story was good enough without it.
