This book has more stuff in it than I knew back when I was a lot younger. Having this knowledge at the time would not only be practical but also inspiring to imagine being this knowledgeable at a much younger age. It’s almost like being isekai-ed back into a previous state with higher stats. It’s full of uplifting stories form past historical figures with tons of real-life examples. One of the best ways to learn in life is through mistakes. It doesn’t necessarily have to be through your mistakes. So reading about other people’s mistakes and lessons gives you a great edge in this game of life. Each skill mentioned in the book is encouraged to be used by the readers.

New author Jake Russell adds to the literature covering child development and growth with this excellent guide for kids of all ages: ‘there are skills and lessons that are a proven recipe for success in life, and that’s what this book is all about.’Using a most creative structure, Jake presents the lessons as chapters opening with a biographical study of a famous person (example, Neil Armstrong and his positive mindset) whose life reflects the lesson to be learned, providing both an interesting as well as informative avenue for understanding such important skills as having a positive mindset, resilience, the important role of education, the need for responsibility and accountability, and more. Each chapter then closes with tips and activities to underscore the importance of the lesson presented.Parents, this innovative book provides a valuable bridge for encouraging the development of valuable skills kids need (and want) to learn. An excellent gift!
