I bought this as I am a CPT and I am looking to increase my learning and skills. This book is filled with knowledge and well explained. I haven’t finished yet but I highly recommend, as I have been following NSCA content and it is all about the science.
Gym instructor –
A well researched and referenced, up-to-date, authoritative (backed by NSCA) text suitable for advanced beginners, intermediates, and probably beyond. Its 390 pages, produced in 2017, contain interesting science-backed material which is clear and easy to read. For me this style of text-book commissioned by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, using well-known fitness and strength authors to write each chapter is so much more useful and carries much more weight than the familiar weight-lifting/bodybuilding stuff where a steroid-filled creature simply lists what he does in the gym. I loved it and read it, with confidence, from cover to cover

Bought this book for class. However, I still use it to work out in the gym. Lots of great exercises and visuals.
