Star Musical and Handicraft is India’s first Djembe Factory. We are making Djembes since year 2003. Earlier we were operating as export unit only exporting to France, Germany and other EU countries. From year 2006 onwards we have started seeing demand for djembes in India then we started catering to the Indian market through wholesale as well retail channels.

Launching fire and rhythm djembe head made with shaved black goat skin leather. Traditional african style djembes uses black shaved goat skin for djembe heads as the natural elasticity remains intact. In processing white djembe head quick lime is used which acts as a whiting agent but also compromises the natural elasticity. But in the traditional african style natural elasticity of leather is not compromised and gives a far superior sound and tone quality compared to the white djembe head.
Product is Made in India. Our Djembes are sturdy, easy to carry and move around. It increases better hand feeling and are made up of environmentally friendly raw materials. Perfect clamping system and rounded edge for better playing and to reduce leather tear.
