4/11/22 Update – bought the 30lb hoping for as good a fit, unless you’re built like Arnold Schwarzenegger the stay away. It’s very loose, doesn’t sit evenly on the shoulders and lower back. Jogged for 20 minutes in it, it rubbed the outside of my shoulders and inner neck considerably, same with my lower back. Will be returning it, very not worth it for a $100 weight vest2/4/22 Update – after a bit over 4 months of use I learned the stiching that secures the chest strap clips sucks. It pulled out on both of my clips (on the same walk no less), so I now have no way to use the chest straps until I manage to re-sew them. It makes the vest pretty useless without the chest straps due to its tendency to open up in the front and bounce around. I’m leaving it 3 stars because the vest itself is still comfortable and well balanced, you just get what you pay for with the construction.I bought the 16lb vest to exercise with, I’ve been very happy with it so far (2 months into it). I use it at least every other day, mostly when I go on walks/runs. When I do, it gets abused and sweat on for a good 90 minutes and there’s no fraying or anything so far. It sits very balanced on my shoulders, the weight is well distributed. After wearing it for an hour or more, my shoulders are fine even if my legs aren’t thrilled!Smaller frames (I’m 6’1, 210lbs) might have a challenge cinching the top part up enough to stay snug, at least the 16lb vest seems designed for larger chests. The cinch straps stay snug the entire time too, which I was worried about.This was one of the cheapest vests (pound for pound) I found, I’ve been very happy with it.
