Let’s Talk Money: You’ve Worked Hard for It, Now Make It Work for You
REVISED AND UPDATED-NOW WITH FINANCIAL LESSONS FROM COVID-19
We work hard to earn our money. But regardless of how much we earn, the money worry never goes away. Bills, rent, EMIs, medical costs, vacations, kids’ education and, somewhere at the back of the head, the niggling fear of being underprepared for our own retirement.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our money worked for us just as we work hard for it? What if we had a proven system to identify dud investment schemes? What if we could just plug seamlessly into a simple, jargon-free plan to get more value out of our money for tomorrow, and have a super good life today as well?
India’s most trusted name in personal finance, Monika Halan offers you a feet-on-the-ground system to build financial security. Not a get-rich-quick guide, this book provides you a smarter way to live your dream life, rather than stay worried about the ‘right’ investment or ‘perfect’ insurance. Unlike many personal finance books, Let’s Talk Money is written specifically for you, keeping the Indian context in mind.

One of the best books on Personal Finance
This book is truly a practical guide to our personal finance management. Very subtly explained with a real approach with apt anecdotes to assimilate every concept of basic personal finance.Every individual must read the book that isn’t thought either in school or at homes. Take the book without any second thought that transforms the journey of personal finance management post reading the book that happened in my case.

Good for beginner level
Very good for an introduction to a beginner into the world of personal financial planning. However, it isn’t very technical. Like it does not go much deep into GDP, P/E ratios, Mutual Fund ratios, stock analysis, etc. It is not for that purpose anyway. But I was expecting some deeper information, because a lot of content of the book will appear in some or the other newspaper articles in bits and pieces.

Wow book!
I am still midway, but I must say it is so good that I wish I had read it earlier. I hardly know about investments, but this has made so many things clear to me in a very simple way. Thank you!!

The author was insightful. I learned more about managing my assets in my daily transactions then having a plan in place. A bit about Money Markets and some wise decision making in the process.
