I used an old beat up mat for years, until my cat peed on it. A sturdy mat really increases what you get out of a yoga session. Cool design, right thickness, and comfortable.

This mat is nice and soft, and it has just the right amount of thickness needed for my floor workouts. I don’t use it for yoga, so I can’t speak to that. But it is great for core exercises where I’m on my back. For plank variations, however, I find that my hands tend to slip so I’m not able to maintain stability in those positions. Even when I try the recommendation of wiping it with a damp cloth/towel for extra stickiness, there’s still a lot of slipping going on. But all-in-all, not a bad mat for the price.
