It is not that big perfect size. The weight is easy to carry. The material is polished and very magnetic. It is good for kids as it’s highly magnetic even if you flip the board the prices stay in the same position. It feels very high quality and looks shiny. It’s very fun to play with.

Overall the Chess Board Looks Premium andd Royal. the Peices are well polished and Looks clean though.I ordered 16Ã16 inch chess board Andd I think it’s Value for money but there were some Issues I found .1. one Of the Lock was missing and second lock was Dislocated and Broken. one of the Pawn’s edge was broken2. Board was A little unsymmetrical . it is not been shown in the picture I provided but it was .3. According to 3000 price bracket there should be good quality hinges And Locks.4. Some Magnetic peices have a strong Magnets and some of them wall after folding it .I order it and It come with these defects so I placed a Replacement order Instead of refund order because ai over this chess it literally feels Premium board.NOTE- the colour shown on Amazon Is a little bit dull but not that much It’s Good not that much shining but not too much dull It gives you a perfect wooden chess board feel .And if I go for it so ..QUALITY â COLOUR â LOCKS âPOLISH â BOARD â INNER VELVET â (it stores Peices safely)Easy to carryâ Size â ( The size is literally attractive it’s big and I think it’s a best size for a big chess board for home Normal plays and the Pawn’s are also Fitted to the size because Extra large pieces Also looks Kinda Unmatched with the board.)Packaging â VFM â MAGNET – 50-50OVERALL RATING 8/10 âI hope My review Found you helpfull

Everything good except one thing
The product is excellent. The magnet is ok. The design is well. The pieces are just fine. Not top notch, though.When you completely unfold it, the surface of chess does not become flat at 180 degrees like you want it to be.Since it’s made to be folded, it remains at an angle even if you try to get it completely straight.

Finishing is good. Chess pieces are Good. However, Megnet is not working properly. And the main thing is alignment of this board is not properly aligned. Need to provide some support on the bottom of the chess board.Very Disappointed ð. Need replacement.

Board material is good but expected a better finishing of pieces. One of pawn’s magnet is very weak. Stickers on the base of pieces are also not properly glued. It is ok according to the price.

I was a little nervous about ordering this set, as Amazon said it was a frequently returned item.I don’t know what the reason for that could be, but the set I received is flawless.It is solid wood throughout, and the playing surface is made up of individual squares of wood veneer (some boards I have seen just have a single piece of wood with dyed or painted squares).Mine is the 7×7 model, and is kept closed by magnets rather than a metal latch. I think this is better, since it gives a cleaner look, and the magnets are plenty strong enough to keep it closed.The overall quality of workmanship is excellent, with smooth transitions between the two halves of the board in both open and closed positions.The chessmen themselves are very nicely made considering their small size. They are satisfyingly proportioned and easy to tell apart from each other.The magnets felt a little weak at first, but they proved to be strong enough to hold even the heavier pieces in place, even when the board was held sideways or inverted. Stronger magnets may actually be a bad thing, because it might cause the pieces to be attracted to one another and cause problems.All in all, I don’t have a single bad thing to say about this set. It’s an absolute bargain for the price, and I’m thinking of buying some of the other sizes. It would make an excellent gift.

I purchased 10, 12, 14 & 16 inch boards to see which I liked the most.I ended up keeping the 14×14 and returning the rest. I purchased this to have a travel set that I could bring with me to set up at coffee shops or parks to play with friends. I found the 14×14 to be the best in terms of compactness and ability to travel with while also maintaining some integrity of what a real chess board and pieces should feel like. I really love the packing of the pieces within the foam under the board. Other sets I found the pieces would not actually sit in their molding and would become damaged while transporting.The board itself looks beautiful with a nice gloss finish and the pieces are a nice wood that donât seem cheap. Honestly was very impressed overall with the quality of it especially for a travel set.Something to note is all sizes 12×12 and under do not have a latch on the side for the pieces. I didnât keep these sizes long enough to see if this would be a problem but 14 & 16 inch models do have that latch. Moving down from 14 to 12 the pieces are noticeable smaller. Would be nice for really tight spaces but Iâve found that even smaller coffee tables are able to for the 14inch model.Donât think you can go wrong with any of these options just wanted to give the feedback having bought all of them.

The set is absolutely gorgeous. The wood has been finished perfectly and I love how the pieces nestle perfectly into the cut foam. The pieces are magnetized just enough to keep them from moving around from casual jostling, which is a good thing because…The set is wobbly. It’s not level and tilts back and forth. When I open the case and look at it from the side, the board has a definite curve to it.The set is so beautiful, it’s a shame that it doesn’t lay properly flat. It’s not a huge deal and won’t stop me from using it, but it is mildly annoying that the board rocks back and forth every time you move a piece.I would be on the fence about returning it, but I threw away the packaging before noticing the flaw, so the choice I guess is made for me and I’ll be keeping it.
