A perfect classy gift for a musically inclined friend
Ive bought this kalimba before years ago on amazon from the same company for myself and bought one recently to gift it to my friend. This time however while the kalimba remained more or less the same with only the position of sound hole changed to appear more aesthetic, amicisound has really ramped up the packaging from a normal cardboard box last time to a beautiful colored printed cardboard box with satin finish this time. Which of course makes up for a really classy looking gift for a musically inclined friend. The Kalimba has remained the same, wood is high quality with a matte finish, all the tins are playable and the resonance from the box was good on playing it.

Writing this review after 2 weeks of usage. Looks: Easy grip, good quality wood, comes readily tuned, got tuning hammer, silicon fingertips, packaging is very impressive and new.Music: Adequate sounds(pitch) produced, the sound quality is classic as it matters for a kalimba as it is an already subtle instrument, 17-keyed kalimbaIt has to be handled with utmost care and kept in a cool dry place, cleaned regularly for the best sounds and durability.I’m enjoying learning this instrument. Hope you do too :-)And don’t think too much about negative reviews. This product is legit.

Good for Beginners. Soothing Sound.
I was looking for a musical instrument which would be portable and yet enjoyable. This fit the bill perfectly. The melody is soothing to ears. Even if one is not aware, randomly plucking at the tines will still produce decent experience for the ears. The quality is good and it came packed securely in a nice soft pouch with a handbook along side color coded stickers and thumb grips.

I didn’t get any dead tines, fortunately.Everything is compact.. And it’s an amazing instrument!The only thing I dislike about it is one of the accessories.. It’s the case it comes with..I didn’t like the fabric and the threads came out in a few days.. Also the keys of the kalimba get stuck I the fabric.. But it’s still okay.. I suggest keeping your kalimba in a hard case or a box!But I’m happy with the product!

Absolutely awesome instrument
Well, had to download an app and fine tune the instrument which was expected and recommended before initial use, but the instrument was delivered well packaged and had no other concern. Was easy to tune and play some initial lessons. Too early to talk about reliability and durability, but satisfied with purchase. Go for it.
