Works great for aging TVs
Used it on 5 year old OnePlus Android TV. I started getting wifi issue on native OS and UI was very laggy.Fire stick is great product for the price. It’s easy to install, UI is very smoot, fire stick remote can be used to turn TV On/off which is great. It’s supposed newer codecs like AV1 which can help use lesser data. Remote quality is not that great but overall good for price.

Value for money device
Recently bought during the sale period and got it for 4499. So far performing well without any glitches and setup was easy with existing Amazon account. I am using a Samsung crystal 4k tv and LG sound bar, both can be controlled by firetv stick remote. Tv power on and soundbar volume adjustment can be controlled by single remote itself which is really convenient. Booting also quick, not taking much time around whence tv powered on firetv opens.Pros- Quick bootup and performance- Single remote to control tv power on off and soundbar volume- Remote with dedicated forward and rewind buttons.Cons- Battery was not working which came with the package, replaced with new one and started working.- Remote button click is bit hard, comparing to my Samsung tv remote which is smooth.- Operating system UI is bit outdated when comparing with new google tv os.

â Fire TV Stick does not support VOLUME CONTROL on a software/OS level. Therefore it relies on TV control or a Sound System / Soundbar.â Does not support 2K resolution. Either 1080p or only 4K. No custom resolutions.â Very less STORAGE MEMORY (Storage available after OS is around 5GB only).â Still uses Micro-USB for Power instead of Type C.â Airtel Xtream is available but not supported.* * Quality * *â Remote Plastic is cheap and bends when pressing certain keys.â Remote Backcover feels loose even though firm and tight actually.â Remote does not have any smooth scrolling. The buttons structured in round does not have any touch or turning dial like input.* * Software * *â Device Startup is fast and starts in less than a minute. Around 40 secs.â Alexa is not available as global input. In case searching inside apps, need to type with virtual keyboard doing left and right.â ï¸ Check compatibility with your TV and sound systems before purchasing otherwise it is as good as a brick to you.ð» Device Makers are not smart enough to include volume control through software. Funny thing is that Appstore has PAID apps available that promise volume control on device instead of TV and Speakers (haven’t tested the apps) ð»

Works well for a projector
Bought it for egate i9 pro Max projector, does it’s job well. Although 4k is not supported on a 1080p projector, better to buy this cuz we could use it for tv for 4k. The remote is very good too. It’s 2nd generation firetv stick yet has 8 gb only, out of it 5.79gb is only available. Not good for storage purpose but not my main concern. Got it for 220/m (24) for emi.

Perfect solution to turn normal HD TV into Smart TV
I was bit skeptical after reading some negative reviews, but took a chance.The product is mind blowing, the reason I went for 4K was due to more RAM (2 GB).I am using it on Samsung Full HD TV (bought in 2013).Now it is faster then even my other smart TV (Acer). I bought this stick to replace my Tata Play box (for apps) as it was dead slow and when raised the concern with support they said it is what it is and nothing can be done.I am just loving the experience of fast access to my stuff.It also has Bluetooth and got connected with my soundbar (Boat) smoothly.All controls can be done through stick’s remote only.Best Buy for the amount I have spent.Only regret I have is not buying it during prime sale ð
