One of the best books on Amazon
I am delighted to read through the pages. Very helpful guide to create mobile apps both for young and old. Based on MITS App Inventor platform where coding knowledge is not necessary to create apps.

I am so grateful and excited to have found this book AND to learn about MIT App Inventor! So much easier than Android Studio! (I think I will likely understand Android Studio better after completing this book.) And it’s even FREE! Amazing! All picture and audio files needed for creating several apps are included in a source file available for download. I opened the book with Kindle Cloud Reader on my laptop so I could download to my laptop. Following the instructions in the chapters for building the various apps was like using a kit! Everything was supplied. Charts were given for the design phase of each app – making that part very easy to set up. Pictures of the block phase are given as well. And everything is explained! There are a number of typos and English errors – but nothing that seriously hinders learning or understanding. (My reason for 4 stars instead of 5.)

basic programming apps, but focusses on projects rather than extended info. OK for a quick introduction

This is really a good manual from start to finish. Easy to follow and simple to use. Has programming examples with detailed explanations.
Anna Clarke –
this book assumes you have some knowledge of the system as i failed in chapter 2. When it goes to the block code, its not explained verbatim, that way you end up lost. Most unhappy, as i can build website in html so im surprised that the writer has missed very basic follow on information. this is not a simple guide…be warned. youtube is probably a better starting point. never been so disappointed in anything ive ever purchased from amazon. i despair.

Great way to get started with programming applications for Android. Very similar in nature and interface to Scratch. If you’re comfortable with Scratch you’ll get right into Absolute App Inventor. One rule of thought before you start: Know what you want to create and detail as much as possible what you want it to do BEFORE you start.
