    Received damaged hardcover.
Although the book and the content is good, I got a damaged hardcover. I’m keeping considering I don’t have that much time to order it again.

    Bought book liking the premise
But there are spelling errors and an absolute insult to the great writer. The packaging was tampered with in which it arrived.

“My God! A whole minute of bliss! Is that really so little for the whole of a man’s life?”
This short story is an amazing gateway to Dostoyevsky’s writing. It is about a man who has only known loneliness throughout his life – the unnamed narrator is sharing brief anecdotes with us, prominently of their nights in Petersburg; a sort of before and after here which the reader will witness happening. It has musings on loneliness, dreaming, fantasy, reality, love, travelling, being a mere observer who is somehow always disassociated and joy. Again, this is the type of book that where you can feel the loneliness out loud and off the page – something I did since I relate to the expression so much, hence keep that in mind:)

Short and vivid, I love Dostoevsky’s prose and ambiguity. Definitely a recommendation for readers interested in Dostoevsky and many great classic writers.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Pretty crazy what the woman does to the protagonist and the dialogue is very flowery.
