Heads up: This review is from a few hours of usage alone.+ Robust construction+ Robust buttons+ Replaceable battery+ Fast reading+ Accurate for non high precision use+ Bright and always readable display- Does not have inclination sensor- No tripod mount- May need to read user manual at least one time for first time users trying to make best use of this and to save time- Bosch has too many models listed and it is not always clear what features are available in which model.At this price:quality ratio, this is the cheapest and… second best. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. Just for 20% extra buy GLM500 model that comes with inclination sensor. What that does is that it gives you a leveller as well as interesting ways to measure distances by calculating angles – very useful for heights and lengths that you cannot physically reach to measure from.I returned this when I found this out and ordered GLM500 straight away.— Possibly useless long form rants below —Bought it for home construction usage. At first glance it is really a rugged and robust product. It should be fair to expect it to last for a decade if not abused really badly.There are many Bosch laser distance measuring models and a lot of data to read if you’re deciding what to buy. (This model is not the one as I mentioned above.)One thing is confirmed though – for the price and relative quality, there is literally no other competing brand to buy from. Not even the cheaper ones. It is most likely that at this price, replacement and warranty is not the main thing – what’s important that the likelihood of the product failing should be low. And this seems to be (from superficial judgement though.) However, since Bosch recommends all of these for professional construction and other project usage, it is unlikely that they are not building for it.At the time of writing, the cheapest laser distance monitor is half the price of this. But it is also likely to last half the time and the probability of failure is also double (all conjecture though, but an educated one – from the fact that I owned a laser line generator for years without issue from Bosch.)If you’re buying from Amazon, you’re most likely buying for personal or small business use and do not intend to buy one of these every year. As such, it makes sense to buy a more robust model that lasts long time versus a cheaper one that lasts for much less time.2k lasting 2 years = 1k per year5k lasting 10 years = ₹500 per year

Seller sent me used and defective product.
I have used this tool for last 6 years. It’s fantastic. Bosch tools are great and reliable. Measurements are precise and very accurate.5 star for Bosch and 1 star for seller. Bought new one but received defective product. Received Packaging Seal broken, and seems like it is previously used and returned to seller.Seller should not be such careless.
