She’s his fiancée’s younger sister. He’s the man she’s always loved.

When her sister doesn’t show up on her wedding day, Raven has no choice but to take her place — but marriage to Ares Windsor is nothing short of torture.

The elusive billionaire media mogul is the man she’s always loved… yet he’s only ever had eyes for her sister.

Married to him at last, Raven is determined to win him over.

After all, everything is fair in love and war.

And this?

This is war.

Publisher’s Note: this book contains a lot of angst. As mentioned in the blurb, the heroine is marrying her sister’s fiancé. If this is not a theme you’d enjoy, then this book might not be for you. This is a standalone with a guaranteed happily-ever-after, and no cheating.

    The book is amazing
The Wrong Bride explores themes of love, loyalty, and the complexities of familial expectations. The concept of duty versus desire is a recurring theme throughout the book, with Raven’s choices reflecting the often difficult decisions people have to make in life. The book also touches on forgiveness and personal growth, as both Raven and ARES must confront their pasts to move forward together.Catharina Maura’s writing is engaging and emotionally evocative. She has a way of drawing readers into the story, making them feel the characters’ emotions deeply. The pacing of the book is well-balanced, with enough twists and turns to keep readers hooked. Maura’s descriptive style brings the characters and their surroundings to life, making the story immersive and vivid.

3.75 ⭐️ for this roller coaster ride of book!
Where do I even start? I loved many parts of this book but similarly I was irritated/rankled by some of the things.Ares and Raven (I love their names) were one power couple. So many obstacles and through it all they worked for their relationship, compromised and stood united. From day one of their marriage of convenience they decided to communicate with each other, what may come. I loved that.I loved Ares family too. They were super supportive and loyal to Raven. Can’t wait to read their stories.I also loved that Raven was a super model with a business on side. Smart, se*y and sweet. But she was so emotionally vulnerable to her family and I hated how they manipulated her and she allowed it. But halfway through she started changing and I cheered for her.Likewise with Ares though he was honourable, assured and supported Raven each and every time after their marriage, I couldn’t forget that he loved, was engaged and was intimate with Raven’s sister before. There was so MUCH memories and things between them, that was witnessed by the heroine. I can’t say more without spoiling. Also immediately after they got married, Things were a mess. They would say one thing but do another and think another. Both of them got confused and then they started confusing ME!I’m also not convinced that ‘he loved her all along’ line. That was too unbelievable with all the ‘Hannah Hannah’ chanting. But Ares’s one gesture brought smile to my face. Also in second half he was obsessed with Raven.Along with angst galore another thing guaranteed from this author is comeuppance. And I’m happy with how it turned out in the end.

Why can’t I ever be anyone’s priority? What makes me so undeserving of that? Why can I never measure up against Hannah in my parents’ eyes? In Ares’s eyes? What is it that she’s got and I’ll never have? Why is my best never enough?Lo sentí en el fondo de mi alma

Catharina Maura knows how to take you for a ride, rip your heart out, tear it apart, and then slowly stitch it back together and nurse you back to health. That’s literally how I felt reading The Wrong Bride. Ares and Raven’s story is just so amazing and captivating. It’ll tug on your heart strings, make you cry tears of agony, and tears of joy. You’ll hate Ares, and then you’ll love him more than anything. You’ll watch how Raven grows into this amazing woman who learns not to take any crap from anyone!! And you’ll get a glimpse at all of the amazing characters who will soon all have a book of their own!I couldn’t get enough of Ares and Raven. The angst between them at the beginning of the story had me gobbling this story up!!! I didn’t want the book to end, but I just couldn’t stop reading. The way their love for each other grows throughout the story is just so beautiful. I loved reading their story and watching how they fought for each other at every turn, and they way they crossed so many difficult hurdles, all the while never losing the love they had for each other had me grabbing the tissues every other chapter. I laughed, I screamed, I cried, I SWOONED at the amazing steamy and spicy scenes!!! Ares and his dirty mouth… HOLY MOLY 🥵 The spice was GREAT, but I really enjoyed that the plot carried the book all the way through.I loved the relationship the Windsor siblings all had with Raven. She got with them what she lacked within her own family. It made me wish I married a gorgeous billionaire, just so I could have as amazing of a relationship with his siblings as Raven did with Ares’s brothers and sister. I loved that Raven and Ares got their HEA despite everything they went through. The end makes all the hurt worth it!!Overall, it was an amazing read! I can’t wait for the entire series to be released so I can buy all of the physical copies. I have a VERY strong feeling I’m going to LOVE this whole series, and I’m fairly certain Maura is turning into an “Instant Buy” author for me!! 5 stars!Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

This book destroyed me, I was screaming, crying, throwing up every page that I read. Seeing Raven suffer throughout this book crushed me, she deserved so much happiness and I’m happy that the book delivered in the end. Even with the heartbreaks seeing the relationship between her and Ares developed was everything

I really enjoyed the writing, the book was easy to read even thought it was sometimes heightened by some character’s actions. I really loved Raven’s personality: she is so sweet but strong and determined at the same time, never giving up on Ares, who, on the other hand, I appreciated less. Ares is a good man, but he often appeared by someone who’s only good with words, and not with actions: he made promises he didn’t keep. But in the end, I was happy I FINALLY got an happy ending after hours of screaming because of Hannah (she needed to let that man GO). I loved their story, because it wasn’t a simple one but not an excessive dramatic one either, I loved my girl Raven and I was glad Ares got to his senses. An advice: prepare the tissues and to feel the void after finishing it! (You’ll get addicted to the series).
