MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan), accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage-or why Outworld’s Emperor Shang Tsung (Chin Han) has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family’s safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee) at the direction of Jax (Mehcad Brooks), a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark. Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Kung Lao (Max Huang) and rogue mercenary Kano (Josh Lawson), as he prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. It’s too late to release on Blu-ray on high price
I watched this movie on Amazon prime with multiple languages. So it’s too late release on Blu-ray. Most of the movies have released on streaming but could not release on Blu-ray which kills intrest of Blu-ray collection.

One TIME watch (NO SPOILERS)
First of all, this is a Mortal Kombat movie.Don’t expect it to have a brand new story, it’s just the same – with better graphics.I am going to do this review in terms of sub topics, so that you have an idea of what you’re watching – NO SPOILERSVIOLENCEIt’s top notch. There are some really gory moments, also a lot of decapitations to support. It’s really brutal, it’s a very essential part of the story, the base of Mortal Kombat.LANGUAGEExtreme foul language with some suggestive themes unlike previous Mortal Kombat movies.SEXUAL CONTENTAlmost zero, there’s a mean suggestive theme but nothing much.DRUGSNothing. Literally Nothing.PLOTIt’s very okay-ish. Don’t expect some memorable moments in this movie. It’s just got a basic outline and it performs well within. Luckily, the story has been played out by different characters this time, unlike last year’s Scorpion’s Revenge. So you’ll definitely feel something different this time – with focus on new characters.BACKGROUND SCOREMany may find this irrelevant, but I think it’s a very important part of any movie. The background score is very average for this movie. It doesn’t even have like a custom Mortal Kombat beat or a track like you’re actually watching a Mortal Kombat movie.There could’ve been a “Thor comes to Wakanda” scene which would’ve hit hard but it fails to deliver it.GRAPHICSThis definitely requires its own section. If you come from the 1990s Mortal Kombat movie then this would literally be the best thing you could watch. The graphics are really amazing in this movie. The ice effect, the blood effect, the thunder effect, they literally make a huge difference and are really an eye candy. It would be absolutely delightful to watch on 4k. The only part where it lacks is the physics, a bit of it is ruined but honestly, it’s expected from a Mortal Kombat movie.ACTINGAbsolute garbage. it’s as if the actors got only a minute to prepare for their role. Some actors nailed it but for most of the cast it’s like they’re wondering where are they. It’s really not good. There’s not even one good dialogue or quote in the movie by even one single character that makes a difference.VERDICTIf you’re a collector or have the pocket, go get it. But if you are seriously looking for something that’s fresh and unseen then steer away.FOR THE FANBOYSI myself am a huge Mortal Kombat fan – and I tried my best to like this movie, but it straight away gets boring sooner or later. If you want to buy this due to your love, nothing’s stopping you. Just know that the games are way way better than this movie – and don’t expect even close to half of the fun the game gave you – cause it won’t.WHAT SHOULD I DO THEN?Whoa, I didn’t expect you’d stick to my review this far! So if you’re confused on what to get, then either get the game or get the Zack Snyder’s Justice League – both will give you better value for money. Also if you’re thinking of getting Scorpion’s Revenge then I can tell you that it’s definitely better than this, because the voice acting is more sensible and the plot is deeper, even though the story pretty much remains the same. It shows the ability of Mortal Kombat of providing different experiences within the same plot.
