“For the first month of our marriage, you will be mine when I ask for it, where I ask for it…”

Abandoned at the altar, Lady Anna hunts down the groom’s brother for an explanation. Only…he’s the most attractive -and ruthless- man she’s ever seen.

Duke Theodore didn’t expect a disheveled bride to burst into his study. Needing a wife to raise his daughter, he offers the fiery minx a deal: he will marry her in his brother’s stead, only if she abides by his rules.

Enjoyed this story. It was an entertaining, well written, easy read book. The plot was quite enjoyable and the starting is unique in itself.Anna has found herself abandoned at the altar and like any bride, she is embarrassed and shamed.Without hesitation she runs off to to her fiance’s brother to confront him…unfortunately the Duke is not only displeased with her appearance at his home but he also has no idea where his brother is.Theo isn’t in want of another wife but his daughter does need a mother figure and he has the perfect solution to his problem. His brothers abandoned bride! He offers Anna a proposition to marry for convenience. This will not only help her reputation but her family as well and in exchange she takes care of his daughter while following a set of rules he has for her. This is a perfect arrangement for both of them except that what starts out as convenient has some complications, maddening moments, unexpected passion, and a HEA – something neither planned on.Fun read with good characters.I received an ARC, all opinions expressed are my own

This book, the first in the Regency Wedding Crashers series, is a good classic regency romance. With a good cast of characters and a great plot this book about a marriage of convenience that starts out with a series of rules this is a great page turning novel and well worth reading.

Sally Vixen introduces us to her new series, Regency Wedding Crashers, with her book, His Accidental Duchess. I have read all of Sally’s Regency novels and this new series is just as good as the others. Anna, our female protagonist, has been abandoned at the altar. Totally shocked and embarrassed, she takes off to find her erstwhile groom’s brother. Showing up at Duke Theo’s home wet and bedraggled Anna asks the Duke where his brother is. No one knows but the Duke offers her a proposition to save her reputation. Marry Him, follow his rules and take care of his little girl, Kitty. Thus begins our story of Anna & Theo. Sally has a formula for writing a fun, enjoyable regency romance with well-developed characters, a fast-moving plot and enough spice and mystery to keep the reader’s attention. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Following the death of her father, Anna and her family are financially in dire straits and her mother is being blackmailed by a depraved Duke taking advantage of their circumstances. Desperately trying to help her family Anna proposes to her best friend, Henry, who reluctantly agrees but then jilts her at the altar. Anna them seeks out and begs his brother, a Duke, to help who offers her a marriage of convenience with Rules…!!I felt the storyline was obvious, however, I did enjoy the characters and the relationship that evolved between Anna, Theo and his daughter Kitty. It is listed as steamy but I didn’t find this – everybody’s opinion of ‘steam’ is different)…!!
